"I'm trying to burn cartoons that seems to have Japanese and English subtitles at the same time. When someone in the cartoons speaks in English, Japanese subtitles appear. I have read many thread regards it, downloaded a bunch of the software to try and burn this movie, but none of them of it is worked. This video is in high definition quality, and I was wondering if there is any way to preserve the quality when I copy it? Someone help me figure this out. Detailed steps are preferred. "
One option is to copy any preferred subtitles and audio off, and play it with Windows Media Player. Subtitles and audio tracks are changeable with the media player, one stream of subtitles to be displayed at a time. VLC player can do that as well.
First of all, you need to copy the DVD content down. All subtitles and audio has to be preserved. Get Packages to MKV converter. Follow up below steps to burn DVD to MKV with subtitles.
1-First off download Packages to MKV converter. Insert your DVD you are ripping into your disk drive. Open up the ripper. Click on "Load BD/DVD ROM" to load disc info.
2-the real power of Packages to MKV converter is that you can select specific titles and tracks to be ripped. This gives you immense flexibility, and saves you a lot of time and space if you only want the English tracks and the main movie.
Once the ripper has finished analyzing your disk, it will display a window like the one below. As you can see, you may select just my main movie and my preferred audio and subtitle tracks or preserved all of them.

Click on the second icon with add button to edit disc, choose "Lossless" in format. You will not lose a single drop of quality in the conversion process. You see, burn DVD to MKV with subtitles is pretty easy
